US government commends Philippines for preventing 200 American registered sex offenders from entering.
The United States government has commended the Bureau of Immigration (BI) for preventing 200 American registered sex offenders (RSOs) from entering the Philippines in 2018.
Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said Friday the bureau was recently awarded a certificate of commendation by the US Embassy in Manila after registering the second highest number of excluded American RSOs throughout the world last year.
Mexico, which shares a land border with the US in the southwest, recorded the highest number of intercepted RSOs.
“I commend our officers deployed at our ports of entry for a job well done. Because of your vigilance and alertness, you were able to turn away these sex offenders to protect fellow Filipinos from possible exploitation,” Morente said in a statement.
The US Embassy’s citation specifically commended the BI’s port operations division (POD) as well as the airport operations section (AOS), travel control and enforcement unit (TCEU), and border control and enforcement unit (BCIU), which are all under the POD, for successfully implementing the “Angel Watch” program in the country’s ports.

UPDATE July 10th 2025
any country doing digital travel card is a NO GO
Ive been off registry 20 plus yrs
I went to Thailand last yr no problems at all, this yr the new digital travel card went in effect May 2025
I got there had immigration waiting, they told me the Embassy sent them information I’m a RSO
I’m not but it is the federal government who is pulling strings lying to countries with the digital card
IF u had a SO it DONT matter your still RSO in government attempts to control us citizens
Yes I was never convicted have no conviction on my record off 0 yrs but it don’t matter Period
and your never going to be able to fix the problem, as long as the US embassy’s are controlling what they send to other countries its never going to be a win

Any input in dual citizens going back to phiippines as a RSO?

U can get a I-130 visa but approval 98% Denial and getting back in no chances your other option is HK u may get stopped but usually lthey will question u and send u on your way let them know your wife is at the hotel in airport very rarely have I seen then deport. A reg citizen if the family is there waiting. Drop me your email if u can I’m going to open another private fb I eo know as fact the new BI regime so with that said ….
this too has changed, they now have full access to US data Bases and the digital travel card
so the Embassy again sends your information to BI and your met at the door to toss your butt out UNLESS you have 300k php then your all good if you plan to live there they give you a permanent resident VISA #EXPERENCED I do hve a contact email
