Here’s what’s happened since February when investigators announced sex-related arrests in spa raids
In the four months since law enforcement officials shared details of a sex-for-pay investigation of area day spas, five judges have tossed secretly-recorded videos, two municipalities have been sued over privacy rights and several women entered pleas in their cases.
The cases began being disclosed Feb. 19 at a media briefing at the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff William Snyder said his “The tentacles of this go from here to New York to China, in Florida from here to Orange County,” Snyder said at the time.
But as the cases continued, investigators only leveled human trafficking charges against one woman in Indian River County. In the months since, officials largely have backed away from the trafficking language.

The folks who went to the spa for legitimate massages and are now suing the LE agencies involved should also file complaints with the US Dept of Justice for investigations into the violations of their civil rights and liberties. Put the spot light on LE involved in these outrageous cases.
Seems a lot of high level people might be caught up in this sting as clients! Reminds me of the Chicken Farm of Texas way be in the day.
What a huge waste of time and taxpayers money, not to mention the disgusting use of secretly taping spa clients. I don’t know if sheriffs are elected in Florida, but if they are, a campaign should be started to make sure Snyder is relieved of his duties.

I believe this is the result of a South Florida ICAC operation… so yeah, politically AND financially driven with the new buzzword “human trafficking”.
Speaking of which, Florida now requires certain employees to have training on how to spot those who might be involved in human trafficking.

Another example of bungling law enforcement, more interested in fame and headlines than actual trafficking, and all it entails.
