Guards denied medical care to an accused sex offender.
For hours before he died in a northern Vermont prison this month, Kenneth Johnson struggled to breathe and begged for medical attention, according to a fellow inmate who was with Johnson that night.
“He kept banging on the window for the nurse to do something about it — and they didn’t,” said the other inmate, Raymond Gadreault. Johnson, Gadreault and a third prisoner spent the night of December 6 in a locked infirmary at the Northern State Correctional Facility in Newport. According to the Vermont Department of Corrections, Johnson was transferred to a hospital before dawn and pronounced dead at 3:30 a.m. In a press release issued that afternoon, the department said that Johnson’s “cause of death appears to be natural causes.”
But according to Gadreault, prison medical staffers could have done more to save him. The 60-year-old man — an accused sex offender — had been having trouble breathing for more than a week before his death, Gadreault said. By December 6, Johnson’s condition had apparently worsened.
According to Gadreault, Johnson spent at least four hours that night “knocking on the window, telling the nurses he was having trouble breathing and needed to go to the hospital.” Instead, he said, nursing staff ignored Johnson and then threatened him.

Your very welcome.
In Illinois, when someone in high places needs someone to “dissapear” the inmate gets sent to Western Correctional Center in Mount Sterling, IL. The grievances are ignored all the way to the top.
John R. Baldwin, acting director of Illinois DOC, Sarah Johnson, Administrative Review Board and Warden Watson, Warden of Western Correctional Center were presented with evidence that Correctional Officers were beating inmates with life-threatening injuries and ignored evidence in the form of grievances, and hospital records of the same types of injuries that killed Larry Earvin on October 26th, 2017 and December 14th, 2017. Larry Earvin would be alive today if these people did not ignore these grievances they choose to ignore. For verification, Brown County IL States Attorney, Mark Vincent and FBI agent, Price McCarty have copies of the grievances and medical reports. Just like Larry Earvin, other inmates were sent to other prisons after their beatings at Western Correctional Center.

What needs to be done is the guards need to have to get a taste of there own medicine. For some reason everyone seems to think if you have had any kind of sex offences you are worse then dirt. If you are in prison not one of you are any better then the other .What ever you did to get there makes no differences they consider it a crime or you wouldn’t been sent there. If the guards are going to pass out flyers about the inmates crimes they need to pass out every ones and even there own i’m sure about all of them has a closet full.
Ahhhh yes America, the land of people not giving a damn about each other and their problems. Makes me wonder just how this country even survives each day.
So is the nurse going to be brought up on charges? Is she going to lose her medical license because of violating the Hippocratic oath? I doubt it.
The public has no idea of the human trash that works in the prison systems…and then they are astounded when an ex-con cops an attitude or expresses hate for the “corrections officers” and cops in general. “If you want to see the absolute scum of the earth go to any prison in the US during shift change.” –Paul Harvey (attributed)
