Volusia among counties with most transient sex offenders
Dozens of transient sex offenders lived in Volusia County as of October, and county officials are exploring ways to address the issue.
District 1 Volusia County Councilman Don Dempsey brought up the statistic during closing comments at Tuesday’s County Council meeting.
Dempsey has said during previous council discussions that he would rather see homeless sex offenders housed so that they are easier to track.
“Housed so they are easier to track”…not so they are safe and off the streets where they can reintegrate into society better…Don lacks the critical thinking skills to be elected to such positions, but the people are not much better if they keep electing him.
Actually I would say that’s not true. He is the only one speaking up against more local laws. I would put Don Dempsey on every single local council. He speaks with great thought. He sees what’s going on.
they were warned about this during there vote to pile on more sanctions
Meanwhile in Putnam County they actively seek to unhouse PFRs
Saw that. I wonder what they might propose as they seem to want to reduce the numbers.
I propose a blanket repeal of the registry. Wake up Abe Lincoln if necessary. I have a feeling he’s tossing and turning in his grave. The original Republican. An avid reader of Euclid.
Things that are equal to the same thing, are equal to each other.
Have a good day everyone.
