This if far more extreme than the old eye for an eye mentality. As bad is it may be, the child will still have a life after and will probably be fine. The person who committed the offense will be gone for eternity. No one has the right to make those kinda of decisions. Taking a life should only be a last resort and in self defense. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just as bad as the offense

The largest issue I see here is also the pink elephant in the room. The law is horrible on the face but it’s even worse knowing the government can not be trusted to reign itself in. Exact same as the registry schemes. It starts as one thing but almost immediately before the ink drys begins to morph into an unkillable hydra.. How long before the death penalty includes anyone guilty of lewd jokes or improper work place humor? Soinds extreme you might say? 30 years ago people laughed and called me a conspiracy theorist when I warned what I saw as the future of the registry. Said that sounded extreme too. Obviously what i warned then isnt even half of what the registry has become today..I doubt anyone is laughing now.. on the bright side at least they may get a path off the registry even if they are not permitted a grave site within 10000 Miles of any public place..

Sir I hear you loud and clear, but this Only refers to heinous acts, so stop making it as though All human rights will dissappear one day.

I am all in favor of the death penalty when a person murders another. However, with a Federal and now some state governments that is completely out of control and is continuing to take away all Civil Rights – “you have a tat with a crown and the word mom under it so therefor you are a gang member and must be deported without and due process” do you honestly think governments will actully limit the death penality to only “heinous” acts? Have they defined what they consider heinous acts or are they leaving that part out.

And the constitutional rights just keep on getting stepped on. Can’t wait to see what they’re going to do next.
