FRJA- Book Club Event – What It Takes to Heal

FAC is posting this Book Club event for our advocates at Florida Restorative Justice Association (FRJA).

NOTE: The Book Club will meet June 2, July 7, August 4 and September 1, 2025.

You’re warmly invited to join us on June 2nd at 6:30 PM (via Zoom) for a powerful and grounding community reading and conversation as we explore “What It Takes to Heal” by Prentis Hemphill.

This gathering will be a space to pause, connect, and reflect together on the themes of healing, justice, accountability, and the collective care we all deserve. Through Prentis Hemphill’s thoughtful and deeply moving writing, we’ll explore what it truly means to move through harm and toward repair—not only as individuals but as communities seeking transformation.

Whether you’re deeply familiar with their work or just discovering it for the first time, you are welcome. No prior reading is necessary if you aren’t able to—just come with an open heart and a willingness to be in conversation.

Let’s share space, listen deeply, and imagine new possibilities for healing—together.
