Rep. Anna Paulina Luna proposes death penalty for illegal immigrants sex offenses
A U.S. representative for Florida’s 13th congressional district, Anna Paulina Luna, proposed the death penalty for the 200+ illegal immigrants featured in a recent ICE press release that stated that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 214 illegal aliens for immigration offenses in the Houston area in the past six months who have been charged or convicted of a sex offense involving a minor.
In response to the release, Rep Luna wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Skip deportation. Go directly to the death penalty. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.”
To clarify, most of the individuals arrested were for illegal reentry into the United States and not for a current sexual offense. Between denaturalization, expansion of civil commitment and now politicians throwing around the death penalty, it’s pretty scary to imagine where this rhetoric is leading. The Constitution promises due process and equal protection under the law — not trial by media, not punishment by political soundbite. Throwing out legal norms for the sake of outrage may feel righteous to some, but it chips away at the very foundation of justice. It’s especially alarming for our community, where guilt by association and blanket punishments are already far too common. We must remain vigilant against this kind of fear-driven policymaking — not just because it’s unjust, but because history has shown us where this path can lead.

Common sense laws channel on YouTube has a great piece on Representive Luna. In short she is completely unhinged. She also wrote the Safe Shelters act to ban registrants from FEMA shelter nationally. If you read the bill she assumes all offenders are adult males, completely ignoring the fact that 30% of registrants enter the registry as minors and that women are also on the registry, so yes she would ban children from shelter. Her other big piece of legislation: The Safe Makeup Act, which wouid create a bill protecting the quality of cosmetics. Your tax dollars hard at work folks.
Yes.
These politicians are getting way out of hand. Throwing around words to feed the hungry masses. This is out of control.
I guess Alligator Alcatraz will be busy😁
Just send them back to where they came from…simple. No need to hang anyone for being here illegally. But I suppose the general consensus is that someone who has been charged with a sex offense WILL offend again. They haven’t bothered to look at or own government’s statistics, where the re-offense rate is 3-4 %.
