OK: 5 men arrested at OKC parks for violating sex offender safety zone laws
Five men were arrested at Oklahoma City parks for violating the law prohibiting sex offenders from entering safety zones around schools, even though all incidents occurred after park hours when it was dark.
Three of the arrests occurred on July 31 at Scissortail Park. All three men, who are transients, face charges for entering the safety zone as sex offenders.
“These guys weren’t committing sex offenses in the park; they were simply loitering. But the fact that they are sex offenders makes it illegal for them to be there,” police said.

My question is, how did anyone know that they were at these parks? Like, was someone just spying on them?
How were they found out to be people with a prior sex offense?

Many years ago, I got a flat tire in front of a school. About 10 minutes later, a city officer pulled up behind me, ran my tag and walked over to me using my name (That tells me he ran my tag and knew EVERYTHING about me).
At that point I figured the hand cuffs were coming out. Instead, I about spit out my chewing gun when he said he would stay with me until I safely got my tire changed and on my way. When I was done, he allowed me to shake his hand and give him a blessing for safety. I almost cried in a good way. God had my back by sending me and honest officer, but so did the officer who deserved a medal for honesty and integrity in my opinion.
But, as an add on, I have had other incidents like that with law enforcement that did not go so well. A quick call to the Florida Department of Law enforcement cleared me as not violating the law while walking down the street while being registered.
People don’t care how petty or unreasonable the reasons for arresting those on the registry are; They just want nonstop punishment happening of any kind because of the culture of hate.
