Safe Living Search App Launches at NARSOL Conference
Finding a residence that meets the living restrictions for your state, county or city is a daunting task. First, you have to locate an affordable home, then you need to thoroughly check the surrounding area for conditions such as schools, parks, playgrounds, daycare centers and other possible conditions depending on the residency restrictions in your area or based on your status. You could spend days driving around and still not be aware of “off-limits” conditions. Finally, once you do find an address that appears to satisfy the conditions, you still need to wait on the Registration, Probation, or office of authority to do their verification check for conditions that you may have missed or had no knowledge existed. By the time you are able to get final approval, the desired property may no longer be on the market to purchase or available to rent.
Having a tool that would speed up the steps and quickly pre-screen an area for specific conditions, will save precious time between the initial search and final approval.
Introducing the Safe Living Search App, a Residency Pre-Screening Search Engine.*
Developed by the spouse of an FAC member after struggling with their own experience in finding a home, they wanted to share it with others who are looking to establish a permanent or temporary address. The nationwide search feature is powered by Google Maps and allows full customization to fit your needs based on the distance and filters that you select. For your convenience, valuable resources are included in the app. This tools is also useful to realtors, agencies, investors and others who want to locate housing, that either includes or excludes, specific conditions.
The app is LIVE and waiting for you to try it out at safelivingsearch.com. View the YouTube video for a tour of the app or share this flyer.
LIMITED TIME ONLY – During the NARSOL conference period of October 16 – October 20, 2025 , you will receive five (5) free searches when you create an account on the app. As part of the FAC/NARSOL launch group, you will also be the first to know and benefit from new features as they continue to develop the app.
*IMPORTANT: Never relocate your residence based solely on this search. ALWAYS get approval from your probation officer or local law enforcement first.

I would be willing to do a review. To accurately determine distances from property line to property line, you need access to a plat map. Last time I checked, Google maps are not playing maps. If they are replying on Google maps as it normally works then their maps will be inaccurate.
Be careful of this. I know this was created out of help but if sniffed out by government this could be used to facilitate grants or funding for state issues and controlled ones too. Which could be used for restriction.
Very true but remember california does tier and everyone charges are different. Non-violent felony sex offenses in Colorado and in California tier off after 10 years after you petition. Everyone’s situations is different too
I don’t understand. We are not “In custody” yet we have to get permission to live somewhere? Sounds like probation and parole to me, even though my probation ended 15 years ago in another state. If the state has control of me, and where I can live then I am in custody. Federal definition of a crime. “Someone who is physically or financially harmed.” Failure to register harms who in that definition?
Back about 20 years ago, I had moved to California and I found someone who was willing to rent me an apartment, just 100 feet from the beach. I flew back home to pack and then found out I did not do my research and that with my charges, nothing would have changed, and at the time, I would have still been on Florida’s registry as well despite moving away, putting me on two registries. (I dodged that one)
I was fortunate enough to get my deposit back which shows the character of the person first renting to me and secondly being honest with a refund.
I figured if I was going to still be on the registry, I might as well stay where my family is and not put a burden on them.
Great idea…would be very useful, but I can see places like union county to use this app against us to say, “you don’t need to know where the 2,500 foot lines are or the roads you can and cannot travel down, use this app.”
It could be seen as the tool that relieves the govt and LE of doing their job in letting those know where the boundaries are. They need no relief from doing their jobs. Databases like this will need constant care and feeding to ensure the data they provide is accurate.
