PA: Courts warn of scam texts targeting registrants
The scam involves text messages that “spoof” or mimic the Franklin County (Pennsylvania) Court of Common Pleas.
In the text, the recipient is advised they are being charged with ‘Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.’ The spoof alleges that an arrest warrant has been issued and bail set for $12,000 to be paid through e-bonds digital bonding or bitcoin. Following receipt of the text, potential victims receive a phone call with instructions on how and where to remit payment to clear the charge.

Who would be shocked to find out some extra dirty law enforcement person or persons might be doing these scams? I would not be at all shocked. There are always stories and rumors of really bad cops doing illegal things for $$.
Lol you made me think of the officer just put on leave from that SORNA unit I posted in off topic section haha
Yeah, you and I need to talk. My post was actually way longer and filled in the gaps that are directly related to everything to do with the registry, the scams, all of it. Everything that is happening in the world.
But apparently one of the moderators decided it was not relevant or it contained information that was possibly frightening or maybe initiated cognitive dissonance.
Whatever their reason, they censored my comment and facilitated the continuation of hiding facts and true history. So I reckon I will try to post it in the off-topic section.
How can you and I get in touch directly? I have been able to get in contact with a couple other guys on the registry through FAC.
Would you be agreeable to someone at FAC sharing our email with each other so we can communicate? I’m always looking for military people to confirm my research. I have been fortunate to cross paths with so many military and former ministers and preachers who have confirmed my research.
I had the opportunity to talk with one of the moderators on FAC, and I want to say thank you very much for keeping the forum clean and for doing such a tremendous job. I know it isn’t always easy.
I think moderation on this site is important. I can only imagine some of the things that could be said, implied, or insinuated by people who aren’t required to register. I’ve had some of my own posts moderated, and I understood why.
I’m not saying anyone’s views or research are right or wrong. However, I believe we need to keep discussions grounded in facts that we can verify with confidence. Doing so strengthens our credibility and helps keep our cause moving forward in a unified, cohesive direction rather than one that could undermine it.
We all benefit when discussions remain respectful, fact-based, and focused on advancing the cause in a way that others can take and present to other respectfully.
If you email FAC I heard they could connect us would love to hear from you for sure. Not many mention key concepts seen in your comments
I’ve been scammed. Provided names and actual florida address of scamers in orange county. The scammers when I did not give money called a anonymous 911 saying someone peaking in my residence so they come to my door. Officer looked over everything said well your on the registry. Well dont fall for it. They dont even help us. Also about false 911 call says it happens all the time
I got a phone call yesterday from
3523292176 that said my DNA sample was not accepted and i needed to submit a new one. I just hung up.
Received the same scam call in Osceola County. Looks like it’s going around
Anyone should be able to see right through these by now.
You’d be surprised. There are 90,000+ people on the Florida registry and FAC has only 3,400 members.
The big tip off is no lawsuit enforcement agency will ask you to pay any fine in crypto.
