ACLU: BROWARD COUNTY CHAPTER ANNUAL MEETING

This year’s dynamic speakers will talk about civil liberties issues that will affect Floridians in the months ahead. Panelists include:

  • Howard Simon, ACLU of Florida executive director, will discuss the ACLU’s nationwide resistance efforts to the Trump agenda over the past year, and the work our local affiliate is doing around the Florida Constitution Revision Commission (CRC).
  • Christopher L. Smith, 2018 Florida Constitution Revision Commissioner, will discuss the role of the CRC and the proposals that are expected to be placed on the November 2018 ballot.
  • Devika L. Carr, Florida Bar Association and Protect Florida Democracy, will discuss efforts to improve public education about what the CRC is and does.
