FYI – There was a Facebook page targeting this guy, and the woman who runs the Facebook page was the mother of the alleged victim from the 1994 arrest.

Also, the Omaha World-Herald reports the killer had seen the Facebook page run by this woman. If this vigilante KILLER was that passionate about this as he claims, then there’s no way these two individuals did not communicate with each other. When I see a news story or blog of great interest to me, I reach out to that person. There’s no Laura Smith did not know the killer.

There are already THREE GoFundMe fundraisers for the killer.

Another thing, I emailed a certain reporter about my concerns, but within hours, the aforementioned FB group somehow found out about my contact, leading me to believe this reporter tipped this person off, though I can’t prove it 100%.

There is something far deeper about this case than anyone realizes.

      Dear Darek Logue-
I salute your activist credentials and all the sturm and drang you’ve probably weathered to date, and I do hope you can take a lot of satisfaction in the difference you’re making for all of us on the registry with all the efforts you’ve made to date. Stay well and safe!

Just think what would have happened if the registered person would have fought back like I would have done and the role was reversed and the attacker was killed by the registrant ?
They most likely would not have ruled it self defense and sent him away for life. Having said that, this guy probably has no connection to the original case and even so, now he has hopefully destroyed his own life, and no less his families too.

Vigilante. And a dumb one at that.
Who does he think he is? Batman? Superman? He sends an email with basically a confession. He mustve thought the mayor was going to give him the key to the city and erect a statue for him.
    Dumbass!

Seeing stuff like this drives me crazy that they don’t see the registry as punishment. Yesterday my local address verification detective came by and we were discussing the registry. He even said it’s all political and it does nothing to prevent future crimes. He brought up the Donald smith case how the day before he was checked on and verified and then the commits that horrible crime. We also discussed how everyone should not be labeled the same, he seemed to think changes were coming. He said they can’t continue to justify the cost of the registry when it does nothing. He did say there are people with deep pockets that back it up tho.We will see!!

NOTHING to see here folks. Move along, this is NOT, I repeat, NOT punishment. Just a bump in the road in your life which should go to remind you of your transgressions which We the people will NEVER, EVER forgive you for.
That is all, please resume normal activities at this time.

      For Cherokee Jack-
I am hoping your response to this is an attempt at facetious humor in response to the man who once kicked the victim out of his house.

It was not at all humor. You must not read many of my comments.
I was being sarcastic at how being on the registry supposedly is not #1 Punishment and #2 supposedly does not cause us any undo harm.
law enforcement will blame the murdered man saying if he hadn’t committed a crime in the first place he wouldn’t be in the mess he got himself into.
It is open season on those of us on the registry. I once listed on here 13 different police reports of crimes against me on my own property and nothing was ever done.
We are not allowed to own a gun or protect ourselves in our own home. We are sitting ducks just waiting to be picked off with directions to our houses right there on the registry.

I would like to point out that, as I am sure you know, you are not allowed to own a firearm. While that is somewhat synonymous with gun, it is not the say. There are guns that are not classified as firearms you are allowed to own. Cross and Compound Bow ownership is also allowed. I would recommend everyone own and become proficient with at least one of them.

So again how is the registry protecting anything. It’s a shaming list, hit list, and list of person to set up to fill jails beds. All for $$$$ and TV time and help so they don’t have to the real work these days.
