Nebraska sex offenders testify for change in registry law

IL: Win – Federal Judge says internet case can proceed

A Federal Judge in the Northern District of Illinois has DENIED the IL Department of Correction’s Motion to Dismiss in a case challenging the DOC’s policy of restricting internet access to parolees. The plaintiffs, through their rock-star attorneys, Adele Nicholas and Mark Weinberg, are persons who are required to register as sex offenders who are challenging the IL DOC’s policy.

Osceola County conducts “Operation ‘Parking Lot Party'”

Several law enforcement agencies teamed up to arrest 67 noncompliant sexual predators and sexual offenders during a seven-month operation called “Parking Lot Party,” a news release said. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, United States Marshals Service, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and State Probation and Parole conducted a joint operation to verify the compliance of the 550 registered sexual offenders
