Charging teen sending nude selfie “absurd, unreasonable, and unjust”, court says.
14 year old “Jane Doe” sent a nude selfie to a boy she liked. He shared the image with a couple friends. Prosecutors charged the boys AND Jane Doe with child pornography offenses. Her, with transmitting child porn (in which the victim was herself), which goes along with 10 years on the sex offender registry.
In a rare happy ending to a story we wrote about earlier here, a Rice County Minnesota Judge found the child pornography law is designed to protect children from victimization and using it to punish the girl, “produces an absurd, unreasonable, and unjust result that utterly confounds the stated purpose of the statute.”
He dismissed the charges against her.

WHAT??? Common sense actually prevailed in a court of law???? Incredibly KEWL!!!!
Fortunately for this young adult she lives in Minnesota and not Florida.
I have no doubt that after “examining” the evidence in the men’s room that the Florida law enforcement would have raided her home for more evidence to “examine”!
This young American citizen has every right to take as many photos of HER body as she likes and to share those with anyone she sees fit to view them.
How absurd this stupidity is. It is private…it harms no one…it is her choice.
America needs to grow up.
