FAC in the News – NBC2 Fort Myers Runs Story on Proposed Green License Plates
Shortly after FAC issued a Press Release regarding the “distinctive, florescent green license plates” proposed by Sen. Lauren Book, FAC was contacted by reporter Madison Adams of NBC2 News in Fort Myers. A spokesperson from the FAC Education Committee responded to the request for an interview. Click here to watch the story.
The reporter interviewed people on the street for their opinions. One resident commented that this was a violation of privacy, while another stated ” this is an absolutely terrible idea. No one should be singled out for a crime they committed, and be penalized their whole entire life for a crime that they already served time for.”
While another stated “I do think it is a good idea so they can have their windows smashed.”
That threat of violence is exactly what makes this proposal dangerous to the person forced to register (PFR), their families, and the public in general. Who would EVER vote in favor of placing another human being in certain danger with NOT ONE rational reason for this extreme proposal?
It was interesting to note that Sen. Book did not respond for comment, despite several attempts by the reporter to contact her office for an explanation of why she wants this requirement to be passed into law.
Special Thanks to reporter Madison Adams for giving Florida Action Committee an opportunity to raise awareness of the injustices, and to educate the public.

Ms. Book is a blessing to those PFR in the long run. The best way to terminate all theses registries is for a few great cases to end up in front of the supreme court. What better registry than the incredibly punishing registries and all it’s ex post facto rules than those in Florida thanks to heir Book. Should be an un constitutional slam dunk in our favor due to her and her ilk, may she die a horrible and rotten and most painful death!

Unfortunately, these supreme court cases can take decades to be heard, if they even accept the case. The supreme court only takes a few cases each month as if they took every case they would need 1000 justices to hear them. By time it would be heard, we could all be dead, elderly or both.
A rare exception is an emergency hearing which sometimes can be decided if it can be heard. Our best hope would be a stay on the order by a lower court judge.
Hey, Supreme court cases do not take decades. There is a season, if they pick an appropriate case, and it’s certainly long over due. The case will be heard that session, and a decision will come within a year more like 6 months. The Alaska Doe case justifying all this cause recidivism is “high and frightening” can and will be abolished. The more onerous these registries get to be the more chance a case will be heard sooner. My advice is cheer heir Book on and get the hell out of Florida till that wonderful SC case comes along.
When I say decades it is like our Does VS. case. They keep kicking it back then we re-file etc etc so it can take a very long time.
And no, I am not leaving Florida and no one will make me or cause me to leave. I do not run from trouble, I face it head on. In fact, that is what the other side wants us to do is leave. If I have to be the last registered person in Florida, they still won’t break me.
I had a terrible childhood and instead of being damaged goods, I learned to fight, both physically and also legally. When people do not believe in me, I show them they were wrong. I mostly fight in the shadows but some of the best fighting is not physical but digital combat.
Peace.
I am battle hardened as well. But, my family didn’t fight Hitler, we left, it’s just dirt, most of the rest of us died. Florida is just a patch of dirt. Here in Cali, PFR have virtually no restrictions or requirements other then to go register once a year. So much so I usually forget to register, until my calendar reminds me. While you in FL, basically cannot breath without spending time reporting where your staying, what your doing, can’t go here can’t go there. You can’t even get off of your registry, EVER, even when your dead. Used to love SouthBeach and StoneCrabs, won’t set foot in your state now, not ever. I learned in life, you pick your fights. You want to spend your freedom, dealing with a bunch of nazi morons whom you cannot change. Best of Luck Bro! If the regime changes, as happened in Nazi Germany, then I sure hope to visit like I did Berlin last year. Cheers

I am Cherokee and German. Me and my sister went on a trip to Germany and had zero problems getting in. Never even checked our passports. When we came back home and changed planes somewhere up North like Chicago or something, I was detained for 45 minutes. I told my sister to go without me if they did not release me soon and she went off on the TSA agents and started filming the way they were treating me. They broke everything in my luggage and laughed saying good luck on getting re-imbursed. After that I shredded my passport.
We got on our plane with 5 minutes before they closed the doors.
I relate more to my Cherokee ancestry as I am very outdoorsy and adventurous. I could survive in the woods if I had to and could live off the land in case of a disaster or WWWIII, at least until my face burns off from radiation lol (OK laughing in advance because I know I won’t be laughing if it happens.)
your strange dude, in one minute talk about how much your willing to fight and how tough you are, then you have one ahole returning from an intl trip, and shred your passport and give up? International travel is everything to me, been on several trips, they always take me to secondary, politely ask me if i know why im in secondary, tell them of course, and they politely ask a few questions and send me on my way. Never had a hard time once. Just got back snowboarding in France, been all over no issues at all in the EU.
That trip was 20 years ago. A lot of has changed since then.
And you did not offend me although I am sure that was your intention, I enjoy being strange but I am also very well educated and smart. The World would be quite a boring place if we were all the alike and all liked and did the same things.
For example, I love Pizza but think people who eat cold pizza are odd.
And as far as the trip goes, I did not want to get arrested with my sister. I have been to 9 countries and my sister had never been out of the U.S so she asked me to take her (We both paid our own way) somewhere as I was a well versed traveler at that point. That trips return to the U.S was horrible and was the end for me. I did not get rid of the passport until I started hearing from others on here over the past year having their passports confiscated, marked and being turned away from places and not being able to get a refund.
Have a blessed day, won’t bother you again. I see so many on here jumping down others throats when the law makers are who we should be calling strange. There are some very weird people on here but I have never thought to put them down.
Too bad they didn’t reach out to me, as I had already amassed a number of green license plates from across the USA including the ones already in FloriDUH and could’ve sent it to them.
That would have been a key selling point for us. While people may not care about our health and safety, I’m sure that those with green car tags would appreciate knowing people will mistake them for a Registrant then get accosted or assaulted.
Surprised they did not make them pink. It sounds like to me these are designed to glow in the dark. That is what fluorescent green does. You can see that a 1/2 mile away. I guess I will put the old cardboard “Lost tag” on my vehicle .
They didn’t make anywhere near enough of an issue about these license plates going on other people’s vehicles just because they happen to live with the person on the registry.
This is a horrible idea. Children are innocent and if they’re in the family of someone that is living with that crime as someone else commented about having their windows smashed out. If an innocent child is in that vehicle then what it’s wrong and nobody should be singled out for something like that. And furthermore, having to be have a fluorescent green license plate for a sex offender or anyone who lives in that family or in that household should not have to do that. That’s putting a bullseye on somebody and any children that may ride in that vehicle, whether that sex offender quote” is in the vehicle or not. Clearly you’re not thinking right and the representative or senator who wants to pass this law should have to have a green fluorescent license plate
Mt greatest fear has always been that I can’t protect my children from people trying to hurt me. I don’t do big talk and I’m a peaceful person. But that fastest way to unsure more not needed violence is to place these tags on any registered persons cars. I can assure you I would not hesitate to defend my kids and wife to my death. Iv been mistreated my entire adult life. This is too far. Iv eaten crap for iver 25 years. Iv sacrificed everything for my family. But when the state targets my wife and kids. Do not think I won’t defend myself and then with whatever force I’m confronted with. This will absolutely get someone killed. I have no doubt about it.
Thanks so much for sharing this article!! Heartwarming to hear the responses of most were positive. we should send a copy of this article to all legislators!!! Especially Book.
