The following letter was sent to the Mayor of the City of Miami concerning the homeless crisis. We do feel it presents a very viable solution to the homeless issue.

Not to mention the enormous burden that would be taken off the shoulders of the S.O. for having to process 445 transient registrations. That has got to be burdensome and expensive.
With the money saved suitable housing could probably be afforded to the the homeless population that they actually care help.

By sharing it. Here’s a list of all the commissioners in Miami-Dade https://www.miamidade.gov/global/government/commission/home.page you can look for their email addresses and send them a copy of the letter.
Here is another list for the City of Miami officials: https://www.miamigov.com/My-Government/City-Officials just click on their info and their emails are right there. You can send them a copy of the letter as well. It shouldn’t take more than a few minutes in total, but someone needs to do it.
You can also forward it to the editorial contact for The Miami Herald, The Miami New Times, The Miami Times, Miami Today, Sun Sentinel, any of the stations listed here: https://www.stationindex.com/tv/markets/miami-ft.+lauderdale.

Can anyone volunteer to do this? Please just reply to this message letting us know you will, and which list you will take care of (Miami-Dade, Miami, Newspapers, TV Stations). Hopefully we can get 4 people to volunteer.

“Additionally, common sense dictates that a law that controls where someone sleeps between 10PM and 6AM (when schools
are closed and children are generally home, sleeping) would not make children safer. ”

That was the best sentence in the letter and the reason why they will not take you up on it. Common sense left politics, both parties, long ago.

Have you considered sending that to the editor at the Miami Herald as an opinion piece to see if they will print it.

They were cc’ed. Alan, if you’d like to help, you can share it with other publications in Florida. Can you spearhead that project?

What if every one of us printed out all 15 pages and mailed them to Suarez?

    I’m going to.
