ID: Governor signs bill allowing death penalty for child sex offenders

Idaho Gov. Brad Little has signed legislation allowing Idaho courts to impose the death penalty for people convicted of lewd conduct with children under 12 years old.

    But will they make it retro-active? Will it stand the test of the supreme court? And there are people who have killed numerous victims in robberies and assaults, and they did not get the death penalty.

    Yes, all children must be kept safe, but the death penalty has historically been reserved for those who took a life, and even then, there were years or even decades of appeals.
