“If it only saves one!” Polk’s Grady Judd is at it again

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, notorious for his grandstanding press conferences where he proudly announces the results of his latest “child predator”/”Human Trafficking” operation, was at it again this week, when he announced the results of “Fool Around and Find Out” – he always picks a cutesy name.

you can watch the full conference below, but here are the highlights…

255 suspects arrested! And the rescue of several “possible” human trafficking victims. Sounds like they are finding abducted children right? Wrong! 141 suspects were charged with soliciting prostitutes; 93 suspects were charged with offering to commit prostitution; 10 other suspects were charged with crimes related to prostitution, such as aiding/abetting a prostitute or transporting a prostitute. Hmmm… What about the trafficked kids rescued from child predators? 11 (yes, eleven in nine days) were caught for soliciting a minor that turned out, of course, to be one of Judd’s officers. Eleven in 9 days, huh, I guess the stings are not as productive as they used to be. And what about the missing kids? I guess it’s “possible” we might find out, but we doubt it.

And just in case you were wondering… only one was on the registry. That’s 1 out of 255 (less than half of one percent).

    As Elmer Fudd has said:
“Shhh. Be vewy vewy quiet, I’m hunting wabbits” and “Kill da wabbit!”

-the one time a reporter asked him about shooting 66 shots on a human being and why stopped making human Swiss cheese….., his response was “because we ran out of bullets….”

I guess everyday when I get off work I should hold a press conference for doing the Job I get paid to do. Why does this man need to get on social media everytime he does exactly what he gets paid to do. He’s no saint. If he wants to be a social media star he should quit being a sherrif.

Your suposed to be innocent UNTILL proven guilty. Not drug through the court of public name and shame until you take a plea deal because there is no chnace youll ever get a fair trial. Its just stupid IMO..

I happen to live in Polk County and a sex offender. It’s not hard to abide by the registration but it does make it difficult to find a place to live . Most people judge us just by the label not knowing what actually took place. Grady Judd has great ideas but he’s targeting the wrong people. He needs to go after the actual child predators, the worse of the worse. I actually reported a predator stalking a child and was basically told if something does happen then call us. Like what!! I don’t like being on the internet but oh well it is what it is and I don’t like that we can’t evacuate during hurricane season. Im considered a low tier problem so they don’t check on me much. In fact when I re-register every 6 months they ask me if anything ever changes lol no because I’m doing what I’m supposed to do. In fact a missing 12 year old was going on in my neighborhood and I posted on Polk Crime Watch helping to locate kid. Messed up situation i was unaware of cost me prison time and prison time in the free world because we’re not free after serving our time. 13 years prison for me.

County restrictions often block registrants from entering a hurricane shelter. Usually registrants are given a choice of sheltering at the county jail or at their residence. If you leave the county the registration laws would kick in.

Most registrants that I know refused to goo to the Volusia County Jail. Of that group most sheltered in place. A few went to other places, possibly in violation. I didn’t know of anyone who was willing to shelter at the Jail. I certainly didn’t.

Because there might be kids in the locations. Which blows my mind i can be in a neighborhood with kids but can’t go to shelter during storms. Grady has his boys checking at the doors for us. He’s made it clear on TV that we deserve to be dead
That’s why I say the registration is great if they applied it to thd ones who actually need it

Okay, but Momma Bear, any children in your area are more likely to be harmed by Poppa, Uncle, or Grandfather Bear than a stranger bear. People, excuse me, bears not on the registry.

            Mommabear,

What BWJ is saying is that, if we think looking on the registry will keep children safe, we are very much mistaken. About 95% of sex crimes are committed by someone who is NOT on a registry. These offenders are much more likely to be relatives, friends, and people responsible for care and supervision of minors (yes even with the background checks). That is why parents should develop a culture around their children where it is not possible for abuse to happen in the first place; then worrying about who lives next door or down the street becomes irrelevant.

Abuse happens most often when there is hidden behavior happening in your child’s life, either on their part or on the part of someone of influence in their life. Keeping 100% transparency between you and your child is the best way to head off dangerous situations before they happen.

No they have to stay on the register forever because they keep on doin it even after serving time and paying the so called debt to society, praying to Jesus all that stuff. It’s a threat because even if not caught still doin it hello

The basic registration requirements every 6 months which i have to pay for. Yes Polk County makes us pay to register and they check on me like 2 times a year. That’s basically it and follow rules applied to us.

We just did a podcast episode that talks about a sting operation case in Polk County. It’s a Chris Hansen sting operation. Apparently Chris Hansen and Shady Grady have been friends for like 40 years.

    This is the description:

In this episode, we expose the disturbing details of a Chris Hansen sting operation in Polk County, Florida, where a man was lured through an adult hookup site by a profile clearly presenting as an adult. After initial contact, the decoy abruptly shifted the narrative—attempting to convince the man that she was underage, despite conflicting messages and evidence to the contrary.

The man was shown a photo of an adult woman and even spoke to one on video chat. Yet critical video evidence that could exonerate him—proof that law enforcement is legally obligated to preserve—was conveniently withheld. Why? And what does this say about the integrity of these operations?

We dive deep into the unethical tactics used, the manufactured ambiguity, and the systemic pattern of deception seen across sting operations like this one. Why is Chris Hansen targeting men on adult platforms—men not seeking minors—and manipulating conversations to introduce the idea of age only after sexual discussion begins? How does this tactic protect real children being exploited online?
