Judge Denies Injunction at Miami-Dade encampment
We just got word that the Judge denied the plaintiff’s request for an emergency injunction.
The news is disappointing, but not surprising.
The plaintiffs were hoping the judge would enjoin the enforcement of the Bovo amendment, preventing the 270+ individuals homeless at the encampment in Hialeah from being arrested. He did not.
Attorneys are evaluating next steps. In the mean time, where these 270+ individuals will sleep tonight remains an unknown. We will just have to see where the next encampment pops up.

Why isn’t this being heard in a federal court where the judges are not bound by public outcry?
No worries. Ron Book just made his bed in hell a little bit hotter today.
Heartbreaking.
Nope – very predictable considering that there is no regard for the constitutional rights in Florida and the abuse of American citizens who have paid their debt to society are never allowed to move on or have a second chance.
These individuals are being systematically eliminated one way or the other in Florida via these never-ending cruel and unusual punishments.
You are so right and it is so very very wrong.
I’m not surprised. Just ridiculous.
Is their an opinion anywhere on this from the Judge’s ruling ? Would like to read their reason.
