Misleading Story, “Teen girl abducted by registered sex offender in Texas”

Daily, we scan headlines for news relating to “sex offender issues”, both good and bad, so we can keep our members apprised of anything that might impact them.

We were alarmed to see a headline out of Texas, saying a girl had been abducted by a registrant. Naturally that’s every parent’s worst nightmare, but it’s our worst nightmare too, because it will follow by a series of “you see…” legislation.

The title was completely misleading though… The 14-year-old was abducted by her father.

You’d think the various news outlets reporting this would mention that, as abductions by non-custodial parents, which also concerning, are dramatically different than someone snatching a kid off the street.

If anyone has some time they might want to let some of these news outlets to focus on what will get the kid back, instead of scaring the public:

One of the reasons the news and police do not like to release that it is a parental abduction is, because the mass majority of people are not going to turn in a Dad or Mother who takes their own kid. So they make it appear a stranger danger incident and everyone snitches on them.

Just putting spin on the story to fit the popular narrative of the boogeyman sex offender and the urban myth aka fake fact, that stranger danger is more than a cutesy easy to remember line of bullshit but also a big fat lie!

NO ONE reads the entire story – they only read the headline!

Father abducts own daughter just doesn’t have the same impact that “SEX OFFENDER ABDUCTS TEEN GIRL” HAS!

    TRUTH BE DAMNED!

FACTS…WE DON’T NEED NO STINKING FACTS

      Sex offender Truth

Also, it puts the Father AND the Daughter at greater risks. Vigilantes come out of the wood work and could tackle , attack and even kill the guy. The daughter rushes over to help her Dad and one of them pushes her out of the way and she trips and falls into the path of a car and dies. They see what has happened and take off.

If the headine told the truth that a Father took his own Daughter that maybe he did not have custody of, many would actually root for the guy to have time with his own kid. In the very plausible senerio above, a family loses both a Husband and a child all caused by a fake, dramatic headline made to induce fear and newsworthyness. Dare I say the news has ruined many lives over the years.

Maybe that guy can sue for defamation of character. Of course if he is on the sex offender registry, good luck having any rights.

Supposed abduction by whether custodial or non custodial parent is a definite problem, especially when it relates to a registered citizen. This most definitely makes us as a whole look bad. The reasons behind the aledged abduction is unknown to us atm, but as we see it feeds fire to the flame that is ever against us.
