UT: Woman challenges lewdness statute. Says it discriminates against women.
A Utah woman stripped out of her clothing after she and her husband finished installing itchy insulation. As both she and her husband stood topless inside her home, her stepchildren came down the stairs and saw their mom.
When law enforcement caught wind, they filed criminal charges against her; three counts of lewdness involving a child. She faces jail and 10 years on the registry. She has been fighting the charges for months.
Her attorney is asking a judge to find that Utah’s lewdness law is unconstitutional because it discriminates against women. Her husband also had his shirt off and wasn’t charged.

Yep. Our natural, god-given bodies become more lewd every day. I mean nudity – ewww – it’s gross right?
Just incredible, really makes us in America look like unsophisticated prudish children!
Of course that’s true for the vast majority (especially politicians who placate the ignorant Christian masses) but I still think that the law enforcement there could find something better to do with their time (and the tax payers dime) something like…I don’t know- like going after real criminals and real crime.
This cannot be true. They were in their own home. It was a casual instance not a choreographed event. What if they walked in on her in the bathroom? Or her changing? Can this possibly really be happening?
Go figure… in Asheville, NC, a “Go Topless” rally is perfectly legal in public, while an accidental incident in a private residence is prosecuted. You would think it would be the exact opposite!
So much hypocrisy in modern society…. apparently good judgement is a very rare commodity today.
Those idiots in Utah must be drinking out of the Salt Lake.
Now they want to legislate what you can do in YOUR OWN HOME.
Politicians & bureaucrats….get out of our homes.
Meanwhile the gay parades march on, wieners and boobs hanging out everywhere in front of children in places like San Francisco. Nobody is ever in trouble because LGBTQLMNOPQRSBS.
