Will Lauren Book dig up skeleton’s in Sheriff’s closet?

State Senator Lauren Book, who is best know for her advocacy of harsher punishment for sexual offenders and is no stranger to conflicts of interest will likely face a significant challenge shortly.

Senator Book was appointed by Senate President Joe Negron, to a 16-person commission to investigate the series of grievous missteps that culminated in a mass shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. The Safety Commission was created under Senate Bill 7026. The commission, which has the power to investigate documents and subpoena witnesses, has until January 1st to dig deep into safety issues at the school and report their findings to lawmakers.

In February of 2014, two 17 year-old students sexually assaulted a 14 year old boy at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas. One of the assailants was Broward Sheriff Scott Israel’s son, Brett Israel. The assault was swept under the rug and the school resource officer (yes, the same Broward Sheriffs Office deputy who was permitted to retire with full pension after the shooting) gave the sexual offenders 3 days suspension!

We can opine that this was a case of “one hand washing the other”, but it will be interesting to see what Senator Book finds it to be. Will she push for punishment and lifetime ostracism of Brett Israel, or does that position only work when there’s a political benefit? We will soon find out.

She can’t think for herself, she’ll have to ask “daddy” for his thoughts on this. She’s just a mindless twit and let her “daddy” pull the strings. That is my prediction.

Brett Israel, needs to receive the same justice that every other sex offender receives. He if found guilty, should spend time in jail, and also have to register. If this does not happen I hope there are a group of sex offenders and lawyers who will look into this further. Lauren Book should not be the only one investigating this, there should be an outside person also.

No comment at this time. I just want to follow the outcome. I suspect a true character will come out.

It was a pleasure to serve my country and relieve my father after his long service in the Navy. He was a chief petty officer, and although I made captain, it was because of his influence on my as a young man. I still salute him…even though he departed on his ‘deployment to heaven’ in 2003.

Lauren Book is a very mentally unstable person, whatever she does will be determined not by logic but by unstable emotions. Never try to figure out by logic a crazy person,That’s like trying to make apple pie out of oranges.

Most likely, Ms Book will simply ignore that and try to get more phony propaganda out about school safety requiring more strict regulations against registered sex offenders, and that more guns is the answer.

More than likely she’ll do what her daddy tells her to do…that picture of her dad & the sheriff at dinner should tell you all you want to know about this situation…..smh

I believe it is safe to say that she finds that there were no incidents involving the sheriff’s son. It was all misunderstanding between boys will be the headlines given to the media
