25 years and never a problem!!!

This Article should be highlighted and shared. It’s about a sex offender treatment program that has, for 25 years, operated across from a day care in New Mexico and there has NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM!

• Michael van Mersbergen, who lives across from the Fundamentals Child Development Center, said, “Living across the street, it’s one of the best gifts I ever had.” He appreciates the children playing in the day care’s playground, as they remind him of his grandchildren who have moved away. Van Mersbergen also spoke highly of his neighbor, Castenell, saying, “As far as Dr. Mike goes, I don’t think I would want a better neighbor.”

• Kristen Santesson, executive director of Fundamentals Child Development, told Target 7, “It’s a valid concern, I think, that the community has, but our children’s safety is always our No. 1 priority.” She stated that the day care has never had problems with Castenell’s clients

• When asked if parents are informed about the center’s location, Santesson said, “We’ve had some law enforcement individuals who bring their kids here. We’ve had attorneys who bring their kids who have asked but continue to bring their children here because this is a safe and high-quality place, and also because there just isn’t an issue.”
