Petition to Declare Public Sex Offender Registration in the United States a Violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
Today, approximately one-million people in the United States are forced to register as “sex offenders”. The label leads to stigmatization, separation from society, loss of employment, loss of housing and even exposure to violence at the hands of vigilantes. The stigmatization extends to the spouses, children, family, friends, employer and anyone that associates with the registrant. The isolation, shame, stress, fear of violence, loss of income and other psychological effects are experienced by the entire household.
The linked source article looks to be different from the original one that I read. Also, there are no comments. WTF?
I still don’t see a lot of people commenting on the original article. It looks like not many people care.
I really think the ultimate answer to ending the Registries is constant, overwhelming negative feedback and actions against the Registries. Make people sick of hearing about it.
It is always good to see you out there commenting, Will Allen. You usually have to go through social media and some of our members do not want to have to deal with social media because of all the flack they have to go through. Yes, it would help our cause if more people did comment, but the sites always stress the importance of keeping our “cool” and respecting the views of others, no matter how incorrect they are.
There is no reason for people to remain “cool” when they are being attacked by harassing terrorists. That is what the Registries are. We shouldn’t be talking to people who support it as if they are moral or sane. Remaining “cool” has gotten us here.
Having said that, different people need to see information in different ways. I will have respectful conversations with respectful people. But I’m not going to respect anyone who thinks it is their business what my family does in life. So that pretty much eliminates all big government Registry Nazis. Anyone who harasses me is getting harassed.
I am listening, Will Allen. Please continue with your posting of comments.
By the way, Will Allen, my comments about keeping cool and respecting the views of others was not intended for you. I have stated before at this site that I always like it when I see your comments at news sites. It is other people, none of whom I recognize from our FAC site, who do us more harm than good with every other word being an explicative and absolutely no content.
I did share the rules often listed at these sites but would not want to change anything about the way you comment. Keep up the good work. You are an asset to our cause. Thank you for what you do.
Ron Book is doing nothing to help the registered citizens HE rendered homeless in Miami-Dade. His hypocrisy is astounding. His website hasn’t even been updated since June. The term “sexual offender” comes up with no hits on his site, only links to law enforcement:

His plan to “end” homeless doesn’t even include registered citizens at all. “Sex offenders” not even mentioned:

How this travesty of allowing a conflicted ¢o¢k$u¢ker like Book to head this commission is beyond belief. Deep-state corruption is the only rational explanation.
