A look inside private prisons.

Anyone who has any familiarity with the prison system knows what a scam private, for-profit prisons are.

They are a human rights tragedy, where the guards are often worse criminals than the inmates. Where a blatant conflict of interest exists; rehabilitation is bad for the prison/company’s bottom line.

In this summer’s issue of Mother Jones, a reporter intentionally gets a job as a prison guard with Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) the nation’s oldest and largest for-profit private prison corporation.

The article is a long read, but it provides critical insight and should be used to educate the public on the shameful industry that exists and has been allowed to grow at a dangerous pace.
