ACLU to Bestow FAC With The Maurice Rosen Act of Courage Award

The Florida Action Committee is deeply honored to be named as the recipient of this year’s Maurice Rosen Act of Courage Award.

The award, which is named after the late ACLU attorney, is being given to the FAC, “for its courageous advocacy on behalf of ex-offenders whose civil liberties and opportunities to build new lives are violated by the state and the counties.”

The Florida Action Committee sincerely appreciates being recognized and also appreciates the ACLU for fighting on behalf of these citizens.

The award will be presented to FAC at the ACLU’s Bill of Rights Reception, which will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014.  A copy of the announcement can be found here.
