ACSOL: National State Department Notifies Registrant by Email of Revoked Passport
ACSOL received today the first report that the U.S. State Department has notified a registrant by email that his passport has been revoked. The email included as an attachment a formal letter from the department. The email and letter were sent to the registrant on August 26, 2020, more than six months after his last trip overseas to a country where he was allowed to enter.
According to the department’s message, the registrant was notified that his passport was revoked by email “due to current health and safety measures.” All previous reports that registrants passports had been revoked were in the form of a letter sent to registrants by certified U.S. mail.

I’ve never understood the sex offender passport laws at all.
Wouldn’t the US government want sex offenders to leave the country? Rather than basically forcing SOs to stay?
Congress wanted to show that they were doing something about Americans engaging in international sex tourism and trafficking.
I have been saying the same thing for years. They don’t want us here, yet they try to stop us from leaving. Must be an interesting world in their brain.

Yes, the branding of Passports does take Place
It is all about Timing and Luck! If you applied for a RENEWAL, not a NEW ONE, you could be spared! It depends on the date and time You renewed! Some registrants have been able to ‘slide by’ without the branding, especially if it was done around the time IML was enforced. It is dependent on how the Passport Office determines your conviction!
It also depends where you embark and disembark. It also depends on where you reside in the US and its territories. It is convoluded at, best. BUT the majority will have the branding on theirs! (Personally, I am NOT fond of ‘Tattoos’)
Some even got their passport cards, which are NOT suppose to be issued to people like US!
It depends on the algorithms in ‘the system’, how a registrant gets branded and IF YOU ARE FLAGGED!
As I cannot go into the specificity, All I will say is that those that do not have the branding should stay quiet, as this is a format of Formal Identification!
Is this just 1 country? Is it the other country’s discretion?
This is only the United States.
There are only three countries that have branded its citizens documents. The United States, currently. And Germany during the Nazi era and the former Soviet Union.
Ok. Is this the only incident or is it everyone in the U.S?
Well noted on the historic precedent for passport branding. Those who had a hand in passage of the IML should contemplate the significance of this comparison.

Does this mean we are going to be restricted from leaving the country? Why is our country doing this? It definitely proves that they choose to believe lies and that they do not believe that people can change.
No, this only means that they are continuing to brand passports of those on the registry. This is not new.

Not to divide, but I think it’s important to note that the passport mark only applies to those on the registry that have convictions involving minors.

What if there was no victim? Just a 40 year old cop playing a minor.
So they’re just doing by email what they had been doing by certified mail? THAT’S the story?
Other than that I see nothing new here. What’s the significance?
