Another Internet Identifier Case WINS in Illinois

A McLean County Judge in Illinois ruled that the reporting of internet identifiers is unconstitutional because it violates offenders’ rights to free speech.

The judge ruled that the state law is overly broad.

This decision comes on the heels of a Nebraska federal decision that ruled in the same way.

FAC will be challenging Florida’s Internet Identifier requirement in the coming months.

i would think there should be an order to also dispose of those illegally collected identifiers. or if they were ever used in a case in the future would that be a defense that they illegally obtained identifying information?
But this is good news it shows that there is starting to be an acceptable push back against these unconstitutional laws!
