Broward Members: Participation needed in research study

This research study is requesting the participation of sex offenders’ intimate partners

 

Research question:

What are the lived experiences of the intimate partners of sex offenders?  The purpose of the study is to examine what life is like for someone in an intimate relationship with a sex offender.

 

To qualify you must:

  • Currently in an intimate relationship with a sex offender. A girlfriend, boyfriend, fiancé, husband, or wife.
  • Was not the victim in the offenders criminal charge
  • Your partner is currently participating in a sex offender treatment program

 

What will participants experience in this study?

  • You will be asked to participate in an open-ended audio-recorded interview
  • The interview will last no more than one hour
  • Your identification will be kept confidential.

 

Participation is voluntary and participants can leave the study at any time without repercussion. No compensation will be given.
