Broward Sex Crimes Prosecutor Arrested for Shoplifting

Broward County Assistant State Attorney Stacey Honowitz, who has prosecuted crimes for nearly 30 years, was caught shoplifting from a Publix Supermarket in Aventura. She was a supervisor in the sex crimes unit.

The Aventura police released security camera footage showing Honowitz stealing approximately $40 worth of cosmetics. While her attorney claims she stuck the items into her purse and simply forgot to pay for them, she went into her purse to pay for other groceries and again to purchase a lottery ticket.

Nobody should be above the law – certainly not someone who prosecutes others for doing so.

Well now shouldn’t there be ” civil commitment” for her crime ? Where she can go though ” treatment”, and a panel of doctors have to agree that she is no longer a threat to the millions of innocent stores.

Most of these people that are pointing fingers at others should remember that three fingers are pointed back at themselves!!!

Wouldn’t all her convictions be questioned if she were to be found guilty ?? Probably wouldn’t make it that far I’m guessing.

You can see the guilt ( yes I did it and I know what I was doing ) in her face in that video.

She should loose her security clearances.

A shop lifting registry seems to be in order here because as we all know shop lifting has a “frightening and high” re-offense rate
