Case Schedule Set in Putnam County Lawsuit
A scheduling order has been set in our class action lawsuit challenging the recently enacted Putnam County Ordinance that precludes two registrants from living within 500 feet of one another (among other things). The schedule is below:
Amended Pleadings due by 10/1/2026
Joinder of Parties due by 10/1/2026
Moving for class certification due by 12/21/2026
Plaintiff disclosure of expert report due by 1/25/2027
Defendant disclosure of expert report due by 3/1/2027
Discovery due by 5/24/2027
Dispositive motions due by 7/23/2027
Conduct mediation hearing by 9/29/2027
All other motions due by 11/17/2027
Pretrial statement due by 12/8/2027
Final Pretrial Conference set for 12/15/2027 at 3:00 PM in Jacksonville Courtroom 10 A before Judge Jordan Emery Pratt
Jury Trial set for trial term commencing 1/3/2028 at 9:00 AM in Jacksonville Courtroom 10 A before Judge Jordan Emery Pratt.
While the trial date may seem a bit far off, remember that this is Federal litigation, a class action and there is always the opportunity to resolve the litigation through mediation or other dispositive motions.

My wife and I have to go to Putnam County today on business. Before their slurry of new ordinances, we would always eat out and site see while passing through. Not anymore! I will not spend one dollar in that county if I don’t have to!
Which legal fund do those who want to donate to cause for the Putman Battle can they use? To clarify this to members. I Know we are using general legal fund for the lawsuit coming.
