COME ON!!! Registrants shouldn’t be bouncers or go near conservation areas?
I’ll end this week by sharing a bit of ridiculousness that is being thrown around the water cooler.
I’ve said this before, but it seems like hysterical people and political opportunists are running out of ideas for “sex offender laws” and really grasping at straws sometimes. I can understand a person required to be registered as sex offender prevented from teaching preschool or running a day care – there’s at least some rationality to that ban, but we’ve also heard of registrants prevented from becoming a garbageman, and now people in the UK are suggesting registrants shouldn’t be allowed to be bouncers at clubs either! Yes, there’s a call to ban registrants from being bouncers at night clubs, calling it a “loophole” in the law. A loophole? Bouncers? Come on!
Another far flung idea that is actually a Bill making its way through the Missouri Legislature. They want to add “state conservation areas” to their exclusion zone. That’s as in, people on the registry can’t go within 500 feet of schools, parks, public swimming pools, children’s museums… and now state conservation areas. Conservation areas are essentially forests and wetlands. It might be where someone would go bird watching or to fish in a pond, but not where you’d find unaccompanied children to abduct. Would you believe the Missouri senate ok’ed the change 34-0 yesterday?
It just goes to show that if you attach the words “sex offender” to a piece of legislation, you’ll be able to get anything through. Should registrants be welders? Clearly that’s another “loophole” that needs to be closed or they may fashion a “childlike sex doll” out of metal scraps. Should registrants be allowed within 500 feet of trees? Lets add that to the list, just in case one decides to molest an oak or pee on it for some paraphilic reason.
Come on people… Let’s be real!

Time and time again they are wasting their efforts, time, finances etc. all to ban someone with a prior sex offense. Only to have someone who has never been arrested, much less commit a sex offense do s ok something in one of these exclusion zones. I find it very ironic and at time, in a dark and twisted sense of humor rather comical that they spend so much resources and brain power to be only thwarted by someone with no prior offenses. One day they will actually listen to and see the research and find a better way around to “protect the community”. Even with the exclusion zones it still will not stop any one who is dead set on committing any type of crime. It’s just something that makes them feel all warm and fuzzy inside. While I hate the limitations these laws bring, sometimes I welcome it and say bring it on MFers. Let’s see those dollars spend to amount to nothing but a false sense of security. I’m not sure of the statistics but I’m almost certain that every time someone who has no criminal record commits a sex offense they tighten the noose. However it’s all in vain because most registered sex offenders have low recidivism. Do they make exclusion zones for someone convicted of armed robbery? Drug dealers? Even if they did, would it stop them from dealing drugs or robbing? Most of the time people with all this schooling and book smarts end up losing their common sense somewhere along the line. Js

Just look at the recent post on Miami? They keep moving those poor saps from location to location. Someone complains and they send them packing only to become “Someone elese’s problem”. If it was just one person, they would probably be in jail.
But, there are too many of them to arrest all of them, too many witnesses that will have the same story and probably not enough room for that many people to be locked up all at once. Plus, there would have to be some push back somewhere.
Instead of a long term solution, they shuffle them around like a deck of cards. Eventually they will bus them off to another city or county. Sad people become cattle and worthless just because they made a mistake in their past.
And we have the data on the number of sex crimes perpetrated by registered sex offenders in state conservation areas. We know what the numbers are.

There are signs at most conservation areas that Read “Don’t molest the animals”.
if we were allowed to post photos I would show you one here. It says ” do not feed or molest the alligators”
This bill was fashioned after ONE person contacted Ms. Riddle about a few citizens required to register being in attendance to watch games. ONE person! This is the second time this has happened in Missouri. The last time it was the Children’s Museum which we testified against and they buried in another bill toward the end of the session.
& there isn’t even an allegation that a crime occurred, only that someone was present.
Had any crime occurred, they’d be sure to make a big deal of the incident and name the legislation after the victim.
You’re preaching to the wrong bunch. Email this entire opinion to the legislature in Missouri. And keep emailing it. Annoy the shit out of them and make them feel as stoooopit as they are.
Please share it.
I would love to respond to this but my words would probably not be acceptable for FAC or the internet.
I know for certain that FAC will not allow me to say what I think should happen. I’ve tried plenty. I express my real opinions elsewhere.
I’ve been saying it for surely over a decade now. The Hit Lists are war. Actual war. It must be treated as such.
Now while I hear your cry for justice Mr. Allen, I feel that your methods to this madness is misplaced and/or misused. I agree that these lists are unbelievable in their potential for identity theft and the “hit list” that they can seem to create. But, as an S.O. for over twenty years, I have had many serious intereactions with the public and the so called “Assassins” and at the end of the day they are truly trying to accomplish one thing: Find those that are still trying to reoffend, find those that have not learned their lesson, find those that are truly going to harm children and wipe them off the face of the Earth. I can tell you from facing an AK-47 carrying “Assassin” in full camoflauge, that these people are determined and will complete their mission, but only if you are an active “child harmer”, I held up the Bible to him and then he backed off. I, immediately started reading the Bible to him and whoever was around. Now, I was homeless camping in the woods and it could have got bad real quick, but I put my faith and trust in God and He delivered me. He will deliver you as well. Please hear me when I say that people with more authority and control of our laws is also seeing this situation, and while it may seem that nothing good is happening it is. We just can’t see everything. Please hold strong and realize that you are a role model for someone else, who may be dealing with catastrophic life changing events in their life and we cannot just “arm ourselves against injustice” everytime we think we see it, because then you become part of the problem and not part of the long term solution. Please, Mr. Allen, sometimes you have to know when you are just a step for the next generation to become a better, more loving world. And, the hateful action you speak of will only set us back farther and delay our ultimate rise to normalcy. Change will happen. Just please make sure you are in a place mentally and physically to enjoy it.
I’ve expressed before that it’s coming down to an all out war against the States and our fellow citizens. It’s just a matter of time before we will have to march against them.
For me, the war started long ago. Because the Hit Lists exist, I’ve been hurting people for a long time. I see only escalation.
America has always been a nasty, hateful place full of selfish, self-righteous idiots. Our response to COVID is exactly what one would expect of such idiots. “American exceptionalism” is exceptional stupidity and immorality.
And the million dollar question(s)
#1 would this be applied retroactively ?
#2 Is this again not punishment? Taking away a right. Being banned from a place. Not being able to be present in a location where you are by law required to pay taxes to support?
PFRs should ensure that they cost big government and society as much as possible. Cost more than you provide. It’s the right thing to do.
