COME ON!!! Registrants shouldn’t be bouncers or go near conservation areas?

I’ll end this week by sharing a bit of ridiculousness that is being thrown around the water cooler.

I’ve said this before, but it seems like hysterical people and political opportunists are running out of ideas for “sex offender laws” and really grasping at straws sometimes. I can understand a person required to be registered as sex offender prevented from teaching preschool or running a day care – there’s at least some rationality to that ban, but we’ve also heard of registrants prevented from becoming a garbageman, and now people in the UK are suggesting registrants shouldn’t be allowed to be bouncers at clubs either! Yes, there’s a call to ban registrants from being bouncers at night clubs, calling it a “loophole” in the law. A loophole? Bouncers? Come on!

Another far flung idea that is actually a Bill making its way through the Missouri Legislature. They want to add “state conservation areas” to their exclusion zone. That’s as in, people on the registry can’t go within 500 feet of schools, parks, public swimming pools, children’s museums… and now state conservation areas. Conservation areas are essentially forests and wetlands. It might be where someone would go bird watching or to fish in a pond, but not where you’d find unaccompanied children to abduct. Would you believe the Missouri senate ok’ed the change 34-0 yesterday?

It just goes to show that if you attach the words “sex offender” to a piece of legislation, you’ll be able to get anything through. Should registrants be welders? Clearly that’s another “loophole” that needs to be closed or they may fashion a “childlike sex doll” out of metal scraps. Should registrants be allowed within 500 feet of trees? Lets add that to the list, just in case one decides to molest an oak or pee on it for some paraphilic reason.

Come on people… Let’s be real!

This is why we have a sex offender registry. To protect these harmless little UNDER AGE CHILDREN from gettin’ it on with persons more than 2 years older than themselves. I mean, they are CHILDREN, right? They can’t possibly consent to a natural act such as sexual intercourse or even a simple kiss.

BUT!!!! They can do this and suddenly they are “adults”…

Registrants should be bounced. Sure anyone should be bounced. Even myself or could we go to Presley or his black/white soul music back in the day. I re-frame from Prisclla comments or does one show ID on entering a bar, a competency hearing, or who gets uptight in government land or who’s land is it actually. Does one put up a “sign” beware of dogs or no tres-passing even when the postman rings twice.

I use to work in national parks even had an opportunity to work at the everglades’ in florica for a summer job in my earlier day but I’m sure the mosquito’s wouldn’t agree with me.

Are we not all at many times bounced by this registry and have to juggle it carefully. At times one even has to juggle his or her typing but being bounced by wind and doctrine is a bit much for many on the registry. Either one can tell it like it is or stand their ground. I don’t like to cover up anything and if I am wrong I will admit it.

One wonders were adam and eve really bounced in the Garden.
Even one wonders does one bounce from girl friend to girlfriend. Sure those under the registry are bounced if you would like to call that with a don’t go to church without a chaperone. Yikes I didn’t know you had to have a chaperone. Going to parks who is getting bounced around a bit when I pass over the blue ridge mountians daily and the parkway entrance is right their.

So is government bouncing men today with this sex registry. I hope my typing is improving but I still need some work on my spell checker. So who likes to be bounced in a free society. And if one dots all their T’s and I’s than thats America and government in action/reaction or who’s the sex registry or who is the bouncer today.

As a contrarian, after reading HB 1090, it sounds like it bans you from knowingly being within 500 feet of a Missouri Dept of Conservation education center. It does not ban you from the state park entirely, just the vistor’s center.

More delusional paranoia. And that’s exactly what this is delusional paranoia. Attached sex to anything and it’s now an issue. I got outed in my neighborhood because of Megan’s last and now I live in fear and now others live in fear because I am absolutely no threat to anyone. Craziness indeed. But hey we’ve been doing it to other humans for centuries. Nothing new Under the Sun. And we’re clearly not moving forward as humankind.

Missouri has already determined that the registry is punishment so they can’t enforce new restrictions retroactively. Just one more stupid rule that makes it more difficult for law enforcement to figure out who is on what restrictions which are all determined by when the law is passed and what laws apply to who. The lies about those that are put on this hit list are so deep , I don’t know if there is any hope to clear up injustice that is so thick everyone is scared to death to oppose or even question the reason for such ignorance.

Missouri has a lot of state parks with conservation areas on them this is a tremendous amount of area. Where a man can’t go to fish or hunt to feed his family. Why don’t they just pass a law making it illegal to go to grocery stores, after all there might be children there.

It is NOT just law enforcement. I myself am confused. I have been detained 3 times for being at a school (All 3 times picking up my grand daughter). Apparently some zealous cop ran my tag or had a tag reader.
All 3 occasions I was held for at minimum 45 minutes while they tried to find out if I could be arrested. They always tell me FDLE didn’t know and to let me go and tell me to not return. Really?

seriously, I have read the Florida registry dos and don’ts 10000 times and no one can tell me what I have to follow, what I was grandfathered in or out of. It is so confusing I just do what I need to do and worry about it later.

Wouldn’t it seem we are more relevant out of prison where we can spend money, pay taxes and support the economy and our families?

Cherokee, you are a bright fellow and you do your homework. Yet neither you nor FDLE can decipher the law. That smacks right up against the requirement that laws provide adequate notice as to what is required. It almost sounds like you have a built-in defense if, God forbid, some cop was having a slow day and decided he didn’t like you. I hope you will never have to test that legal theory.

          Thanks Ed
Since I use to work in law enforcement, on the one hand I do not let them intimidate me. On the other hand, inside my gut I am pissing myself wondering if the jerks who do not know the law will take me in anyway, resulting in an arrest. Regardless if it stands, it counts as an arrest.

I am nearing the time I can go before a judge to have my requirements dismissed. It has been 30 years since the day I was accused. And 18 years since I got off probation.

This is why we have gun laws.

If we’re gonna take this attitude then we may as well shut this platform down now before someone gets the wrong idea.

Only weapon I own is a pocket knife and a louiseville slugger. Not sure where you live but in Florida, if you are an ex felon and are caught with firearms, you are well done like a Ribeye steak.

Stay safe. It is going to get worse before it gets better.

I was surprised that comment made it through at all. I have had my comments not posted just because FAC didnt like what I said. Was shocked to see that allowed. Guess it depends on whom is vetting the comments.

I was going to say something but rather made a dig at them by reminding them felons cannot own guns. Also keep in mind you could be talking to ANYONE when you post on here, even an FBI agent. It is a public forum.

Heck I am sure sometimes the Books or someone like them come on here just to stir up the bees nest to get us to fight among ourselves.

Never type anything you do not want the wrong person to see as you just might be talking to your own probation officer, or a neighbor who does not like you and reports you. That is why I am shocked at some of the people on here who post their real names. Not wise in my brainless opinion.

You can buy a house next door to a school spend the next 30 years remodeling it everyday just can’t sleep there at night when schools closed. I’d rather my kid be kidnapped by the guy living beside the school they walked home from not picked up by a man across town or a city over where they will never check. Wake it retards in office!
