Contacting your lawmaker: Where to find them.

The Florida Action Committee (FAC) encourages its members to contact their lawmakers to voice their concerns and advocate for fair policies. To do this effectively, it’s important to know how to find the contact information for your state and federal representatives. Here’s a simple guide to help Florida citizens locate and reach out to their legislators.

To find your Florida state legislators (state senators and representatives), visit the Florida Legislature’s official website at www.leg.state.fl.us. On the homepage, look for the “Find Your Legislators” tool. Enter your home address, and the site will display your state senator and state representative, along with their office phone numbers, email addresses, and mailing addresses.

For your federal legislators (U.S. senators and representatives), go to www.congress.gov/members. Florida has two U.S. senators, whose contact details can be found at www.senate.gov. To find your U.S. House representative, enter your ZIP code in the search tool on www.house.gov. Each legislator’s page provides phone numbers, email forms, and office locations. Once you have their contact information, you can call, email, or send letters to share your concerns and advocate for meaningful reform.
