Donations to Municipal Ordinance Legal Challenges DOUBLED Until Giving Tuesday
Thanks to the generous pledges of a few donors, we are excited to announce that every donation to our municipal ordinance challenge between today and Giving Tuesday (Tuesday December 2, 2025) up to $10,000 will be matched.
Currently, we are planning to bring challenges against the recently enacted ordinances in Putnam County and Union County, Florida. We are raising funds to cover litigation costs and expert reports, most specifically mapping the Counties to show which areas are now exclusion zones under the new ordinance. While you might be thinking that if you don’t live in Putnam, who cares? Well you should. As we’ve seen over and over, once a new restriction is passed, if left unchallenged, neighboring Counties will pass the same restriction to prevent you from moving there. Let’s not allow this to happen! If we are successful in our fundraising efforts and we are successful in these challenges, we will take on other municipalities that have onerous residency restrictions.
Donations to the Municipal Challenge can be made by CLICKING HERE.
You can also mail a check to:
Florida Action Committee
6615 W Boynton Beach Blvd #414
Boynton Beach, FL 33437
and be sure to write “Municipal Ordinance Challenge” in the memo.
If you donate, $10, it will be matched so that $20 goes into this fund. If you donate $100, it will be matched so that $200 goes into this fund. And so on. And remember that 100% of all donations go towards the challenge.
Please act now and share this message with others who might not have internet access. Thanks, as always, for your support of our work.

I happily donated $100 yesterday. Thank you FAC for caring and trying to help! Wish I had more to give.
Prayers for all
Thank you very, very much to the members who put up the matching funds!! I will be sending a check. I hope others will too!! This is as big deal. Even the smallest amount helps in big ways!!
should have taken on the ridiculous unconstitutional Brevard proximity ordinance years ago and maybe none of this would have happened. Still ignoring that county?
Jed – I think you missed the Rinaldi case (6:22-CV-00023) that was filed in 2022. That was a win. It’s why registrants can go to more places now than before. The glaring example was when registrants couldn’t speak at the County Commission meeting, which tipped the scale.
One critical difference with Brevard was that the ordinance was in existence for a while, while these are new. No boats are being missed here.
Jed, everyone is disgusted about the entire registry. Please have a little consideration for those who are fighting. How many emails have you sent out?
I plan to donate as I have before, but where do the matching $’s come from? Didn’t see that in the article unless I just missed it…
Tj,
It’s in the first sentence. “Thanks to the generous pledges of a few donors”. Some donors have pledged significant amounts for matching. The matching dollars are coming from other members.
