I left the state of Florida because of the recent changes to the registry. Afraid that i would be arrested just for being at the mall or hanging out with friends somewhere they would say i was not allowed. I miss Florida. I miss my parents, my brothers, My friends everyone. Where i am at now its much easier on the registry with little restrictions. But its not home. I hope things change.

I tried to get folks to use the term “banishment through attrition” long ago, and I feel like it should still be used.
Proponents of these laws claim it is not “banishment,” and they’ll point to the handful of places still theoretically available on a map. But that doesn’t mean that location is housing that is available right now. It may be a single-family home that is currently owned. Maybe it is too expensive of a property. It may be a multi-family unit owned by a person who won’t rent to us. Landlords worry abou property values and/or vigilantes, or they simply hate the label. Realistically, there are so few opportunities.
People assume that there are restrictions in areas where none exist. So the mere existence of the laws anywhere in itself becomes an obstacle to be overcome.
And because the registry impacts us in other ways, such as employment, that also impacts our ability to move somewhere because we lack money.
Another issue is vigilante activity. We’ve reported on many instances of neighborhoods pulling out the pitchforks and torches when Registrant housing is proposed in the neighborhood.
Taken as a whole, I’d say “Banishment through attrition” is an accurate depiction of these laws.
Attrition: ” the act of weakening or exhausting by constant harassment, abuse, or attack.”
I tried, very recently, to visit someone in a local hospital. They were going to turn me away. They spent several minutes looking at my DL and whispering back and forth and pointing to the computer screen and then looking back at me. Finally, one of the security staff whispered something to the other one. The first one said, “Ok, but remember it’s not my call. This is on you.”
Then they let me in.
Very unsettling experience.
They act like you got some biblical leprosy or something lol. Society has been so brainwashed. It’s kinda sad how the public let’s the government do the thinking for them instead of using their brains and formulating their own conclusions.
I have posted this comment before but with anxiety and fear. I think my comment is worth being entered into the legal realm to question the designation on our drivers liscense. I speak from experience and i’m willing to present it to anyone that should hear it.
My concern is the Medical profession and their reaction and response when noticing, “Sexual Predator”. I have had doctors and staff ignore me and my needs and demeaning looks and attitudes. I have cancer and so far I haven’t experienced any negative treatment that I know of. I have gone to the hospital to visit someone sick where you must present ID and had someone follow me, no not paranoia. I worry about needing care in a hospital.
