The Legal team and attorneys on the Ex Post Facto I case need your help.

On March 27, 2024, Judge Hinkle in the Northern District Court of Florida issued an Order in the case of Harper vs. Glass (formerly known as Ex Post Facto II).  The order required FDLE to enable persons with the “Offender” designation to report temporary addresses for travel within Florida online using the FDLE Cyber Communications System (CSS).

In summary, 1)  Only persons with “Offender” designation are eligible to report online; 2)  Out-of-State travel requirements DID NOT CHANGE. All registrants must continue to report out-of-state travel in person; and 3) When out of state travel is reported to the Sheriff office, it is NO LONGER required to report the temporary address to the DMV.

We have prepared a survey to determine whether or not the Judge’s order is being implemented by sheriffs throughout Florida. Your timely response will help us prepare for the next case to be heard in the Southern District Court of Florida. All responses are confidential and will only be shared with the Attorneys representing plaintiffs in the Does vs Glass case (formally known as Ex Post Facto I).
