Florida Attorney General Admits that Thousands of Rape Kits Went Untested

While the state has millions of dollars to spend on passing and enforcing feel-good, do-nothing, ineffective sex offender laws to punish those they “think might commit an offense” at some point in the future, the State apparently doesn’t have the money to test rape kits to investigate actual crimes!

That’s the news from this article in the Orlando Sentinel, which quotes State Attorney General Pam Bondi as admitting that THOUSANDS  of rape kits have gone untested over the past few years because there’s no budget for that.

Proves the State is more motivated by politics and profit than actual criminal justice and crime prevention.

Agreed – and while I am all for finding the perp in unsolved violent rape – I wonder how the state is going to handle it when they start to find that the DNA they test exonerates a person sitting in prison for the crime?
