Florida man convicted of having sex on beach sentenced to 2.5 years in prison.

Jose Caballero, one half of the “sex on the beach” case, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison today.

The incarcerative sentence is one thing, but he and his girlfriend will also be required to register as “sex offenders” for the rest of their lives. That means they will have their pictures posted online, have to report IN PERSON twice a year, plus whenever they move, change jobs, change cars (or rent a car) or travel…

It makes little sense that an adult couple who were caught having consensual sex on the beach would have to go through that for the rest of their lives. Not to mention; it will cost taxpayers approximately $45,000 to incarcerate Mr. Caballero.
It makes little sense across the board.
