Florida Sex Offender Wins $3M in Lottery

Headlines across the US are reporting the $3million dollar prize won by a Florida Registrant!

His case dates back to 1999 and he maintained his innocence. He served 13 months for the crime and three years for a violation because he missed four of his sex offender treatment classes (wow, 3 years for missing 4 classes).

Congratulations to the winner!!! Speaking of winning money, who wants to bet that the Florida Legislature will propose a bill that “sex offenders” be stripped of lottery winnings?

When I heard this on the news, I thought why is it that they are even mentioning that he is a sex offender what difference does it make. He bought a ticket and entitled to his winnings, they had no business even bringing up something that he already has paid for whether if he did it or not.. How much more do we as a society want to punish these people. It seems for some people that they think they are so perfect that they can pass judgement on someone else.

Thank you for commenting on his page, Carol. Good for you!
And Good for the registrant too!!! He maintained his innocence so who knows what actually happened in 1999, but if you believe in karma and that the right things happen to the right people, than it might just be retribution.
