Hastert, who spearheaded legislative initiatives to punish offenders while he was one himself, dead at 84
Former Speaker of the House, Dennis Hastert, who backed laws such as the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Amendments of 1996, the Child Abuse Prevention and Enforcement Act of 2000, the PROTECT Act of 2003, and the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 died this past weekend at 84.
Hastert, was one of the biggest hypocrites in modern politics. While he was promoting himself as a crusader against the sexual abuse of children, it turns out he was hiding his own misdeeds. While working as a high school wrestling coach he molested 4 boys. Although the statue of limitations had passed for the sexual crimes, he was ultimately convicted for the more than three million in hush money he paid the victims.

I’ve always been and continue to be suspicious of these people that keep pushing these never ending laws on offenders. They feel the harder they are on offenders, the less likely people will suspect them. I even believe that many of these higher up’s that keep pushing these laws are in involved in human trafficking. Including law enforcement.
That man will have a very special place waiting for him in Hell…..
I am not sticking up for what he did, but everyone on Earth has secrets.
Romans 3:23
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.
Romans 2:1
” Judging others while doing the same things brings self‑condemnation.”
Just my opinion. Yes he did bad things but he is gone now and cannot hurt anyone else. The final judge in Heaven will decide his fate. I cannot judge him because I have done bad things as well. Most of us on here have, or we wouldn’t be on here posting.
And I am sorry for the youth that had to go through what they endured, as all of our victims had to. I was scared in court of my victim showing up but they never did. I think that was good for both of us. Both of us maybe will never be the same.
Another example of those who “cry wolf” the most. It might pay to look closely at those who push this nonsense the most. Semper Fi
I agree, when living in Cape Coral, Florida in the early 2000’s, the biggest promoter of pushing the proximity limit from 1000 to 2500 feet was Councilman Tim Day. It was later revealed that he used city trucks to move stuff to his personal cabin in Georgia, and had accidentally used his city credit card to purchase blowup female dolls, and other assorted items. It seems that those who push an agenda are guilty of it more so than others.
Completely agree.
Those who cry PEDO the loudest usually have the most to hide.
