How to help find housing for “sex offenders”

Some of us have found that probation and registration offices offer no help when it comes to finding housing for Persons Forced to Register.  I was told that I would have to do all the legwork myself for my family member, but once I found a place that might be suitable, our local probation office would let me know if it was compliant.  Other than that, the officials would not offer me any assistance.

Last year, Renting 2 Felons published some helpful suggestions.

I’m surprised that many here don’t recall Restoration Outreach when seeking housing.
