IML – Read Janice Bellucci's Motion for a Preliminary Injunction

For those who are interested in reading an extremely well-articulated, well-argued, well-researched, brilliant motion, below you can find a link to Janice Bellucci’s Motion for a Preliminary Injunction to prevent the implementation of the International Megan’s Law.

For those who have been in a coma for the last couple months, the US Government passed a law that would “conspicuously” mark the passports of registered citizens and further codifies a horrible practice already taking place of notifying destination countries of a registered citizen’s travel there.

A copy of the motion can be found here: https://floridaactioncommittee.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IML-Preliminary-Injunction-Motion.pdf

As we say quite often on these posts: The arguments against these laws, ordinances, and requirements seem so on-point, rational, and obvious.

Reading this motion does give me hope of prevailing on facts and data in the face of scare tactics and new laws being introduced at each legislative session.

Interesting that the arguments against a unique identifier are directly related to legal precedent but Florida driver licenses contain such a mark at this very time.

Thank you FAC, RSOL, ACLU, ATSA, and Mrs. Bellucci.
