IML UPDATE: Reply Memo Filed – Read it Here

Attorney Janice Bellucci, who is leading the charge to get the International Megan’s Law thrown out, has filed a Reply Memorandum in Support of Plaintiff’s Motion for Preliminary Injunction.

A copy of the pleading can be found here: https://floridaactioncommittee.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/PI-Reply-CONFORMED.pdf

The hearing on the Plaintiff’s motion will be held on March 30, 2016 at 9AM (pacific time) in California.

If Plaintiff’s win, the government will be enjoined (prohibited) from enforcing the IML while the full case is pending (which can take a while).

Even if Plaintiff’s don’t get the injunction, the case still proceeds.

Regardless, this is a fight we are all in together and FAC sends our support to Janice in this important battle.

If you would like to help; donations to FAC’s Legal Fund that are designated for this purpose will be allocated to this lawsuit. To donate, go to https://floridaactioncommittee.org/donations/ and under the “comments” field, enter IML Lawsuit.

Finally Janice Bellucci will be speaking on tonight’s National RSOL call. To get a live update on the litigation directly from Ms Bellucci, you can call in tonight at 7PM EST; dial 641-715-3660 followed by access code 957605#

We need to challenge the romeo and Juliet 4 years and 6 months or just make it 18 and 14 with no months requirement

By filing a lawsuit seeking to declare it unconstitutional, which is what this is all about.
