Indonesia: Doctors Refuse to Castrate Sex Offender

The association representing medical doctors in Indonesia said Tuesday it would refuse to take part in chemically castrating the first convict sentenced to such punishment under the country’s toughened up child-protection laws against pedophiles.

The Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) said it would have no role in the castration, even though such corporal punishment was sanctioned under amendments to child-protection laws in 2016.

“We believe that child sex offenders should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, but we cannot administer castrations because doing so will violate our oath to uphold the medical profession’s code of ethics,” Pudjo Hartono, who heads IDI’s professional development council.

This is a bit off subject, but it reminded me of a conversation I had the other day with a non-registered citizen. It got me to thinking about a possible avenue to sue based on gender discrimination:

I told the non-registrant that certain states in the USA administer forced chemical castrations. Her immediate question was, “Well, what do they do with the female sex offenders?”

JJJJ that is a great question. Punishment is no supposed to be based on race, gender, age etc but what is done to one is done to all. But we all know that is not true at all.
To that point, I am white. When I stand in the line to exit walmart I watch the security check every single black customers receipt as they leave. They always just wave me right through. I guess us white people don’t steal ?

Finally someone ( or group ) stands up for what is right. I agree, anyone ( including myself ) who commits a crime needs to be accountable for their actions but certain punishments such as castration should fall under the “cruel and unusual” punishment guidelines. Not sure if Indonesia has that clause but seems the doctors association there has some morals. Sadly this means that some prison nurse , or worse, a prison guard will end up doing it to enforce the order.

Now, isn’t it sad that the AMA hasn’t come out like that against states that legally sanction/mandate chemical castration!

All the state would do sadly would be to send officers to a state vo-tech college and get the nursing instructor to show them how to properly measure the dosage and administer an injection. Then an officer in every field office would be giving the injections. The states are ran by such sorry scum they’d find a way if it hair-lipped every man, woman, and child in the state!

Physicians Oath says Do no harm. I don’t see how the AMA allows this. Besides in a otherwise healthy male these hormones wear off without maintenance but with maintenance cause other health issues so essentially they are killing people
