Jury Reluctant to Convict Man Accused of Murdering Sex Offender

Sylvester Johnson, 61, was charged with stabbing his neighbor, Bill Casey, 75, at their Tarpon Springs mobile home park.
Casey, a Registered Sex Offender was brutally murdered in his home.
Both were residents at the Palace Mobile Home Park at 2500 54th Ave. N., where over 125 sex offenders live.
Blood stains and the suspect’s bloody fingerprint were found in the victims bedroom.
