Man found guilty of killing 2 sex offenders

In a case of pretty distasteful reporting, Louisiana News Station WKRC announced that a man who killed 2 men because they were on the registry was convicted. Their story, which can be read here spends one sentence announcing the conviction, but then goes right into the past crimes of the victims.

Why shame the victims?

If you have a moment, post something to the comments section, which already has a couple of equally distasteful comments building.

Their reply would be that since those past crimes were the motivation for the murders, they are relevant. But this kind of slimy journalism only serves to encourage more violence.

A lot of reporters do that. I have seen someone be bashed (For any crime) get a microphone pushed in their face and asked to comment about “What you did”. Then when the person is found not guilty, NO follow up by the news retracting the harm they did to that person’s character. Seems the press has full immunity on those matters.

My comments are being edited, let’s call it what it is …. censorship: (like 60%+) and or straight up not posted by FAC, so I suppose I should cease my commentary here. Who wants to express 40% or less of their thoughts? I appreciate FAC and all they do, but as they say, “deletion of a comment is not censorship” or w/e. I’ll read the emails and not contribute. Clearly my opinion is too volatile. I really thought this was a community where I could complete a thought. Yet even if it is grounded on cited doctrine or searchable statement of incident: it is worthy of censorship.

P.S. I am also offended by the harsh and offensive treatment of our member where you lashed out talking about how “You don’t have to be here since you know the comment.” I sincerely feel that was rude, unprofessional and uncalled for. I agree with their comment, I feel we have the right to have outrageous skepticism and even a nihilistic approach to all of this BS.

LOL we’ll see if this even gets posted for a couple of hours. GL everyone.

I’m grateful for my time here and thank you FAC and thanks to everyone else for keeping the faith. I wish you much luck in your future endeavors.

I have gotten mad at FAC and they have jumped on me several times. When I get frustrated I take a break and come back. I have a family but talking about registry issues get them upset so my other family is the FAC community.

I think all of us has had a comment deleted or modified but the site does not belong to us, but I do not want it to go away. If it was not for my family, F.A.C and my faith, I would probably be back in prison. NOT because I committed another crime but if not for F.A.C and other groups, I think all of us would be in prison, as that is the goal for some law makers.

And all these new laws each year get us all riled up and that doesn’t help the situation. Please do not leave, maybe take a breather as most of us would miss you. I was ready to leave when they allowed all the haters to come in, but eventually enough was enough and the moderators got rid of them.
People come and go in here but there are a lot of long timers and I am one of them.

They still didn’t deserve being killed.

This justifies the killings in the court of public opinion and as PFRs we are less than human so it’s cool to do that. (sarcasm on the last comment for clarification).

Honestly, it’s getting to the point where more and more people are becoming desensitized to the “sex offender” title as I have encountered them. I have educated friends and friends of friends of the murky ambiguity of the “sex offender” stigma.

      Ret

      Or they will say:
“That sex offender lured the neighbor to his house to kill him so he wouldn’t expose the numerous victims he had that no one knew about”.

The population probably think we all have victims buried in our back yards. All I have back there is a stinky septic tank.

And lastly, I hate that people don’t do their research. Someone buys a home “THEN” finds out about us and gets mad and expects US to move. I was here first. I told one person, I have lived here for 20 years and not bothered anyone in that time so move if you want, maybe the next family are actually human beings. And to that point, I do have a couple of neighbors who like me and sometimes even ask me to help them with a flat tire or something and a couple of them have helped me with a task like lifting something heavy (Two person job).

On my PC it looks like only a partial of my comment was posted. The gist of it is, after I’m done disarming and eliminating the threat. I will still somehow be tossed into prison. I have 15yrs in gun retention, disarmament in close quarters etc. etc. etc.

It’s like an old instructor I use to have back in bootcamp once said “I might be outnumbered, and I’ll probably lose the fight… but I promise IMA get some of that a$$” ROFL

Same here. I have a new one currently that just bought. Then went door to door to “warn” my neighbors about me. It isn’t going well for the newb as I am very respected by the majority of my neighbors.
People ard getting to the point where they are caring less about the label as everyone seems to know someone on the list.

What a disgraceful display of reporting! Shame on the Louisiana reporters! I get the stigma caused by false reporting AND individual negligence to looking for the facts in every case they deem individuals monsters! These people seem to forget that the only judgement comes from the man above!

Father God, we pray for the families of the individuals murdered. We pray for the violence to stop. We pray for commonsense laws that do not put a target on those who have served their time. Remove the registry as it stands today which caused this evil act of violence.
