Hello,
I just made a donation in memory of and to honor Sean. If everyone here would make a donation in his honor and memory our fund raising goals would soon be reached for all the causes listed on the site. If you are not a member yet, I urge you to donate $5 per month. You will sleep better knowing that you are doing your part to ensure a better future for yourself, your families and for our community.
I know it is hard to speak of our trials outside of this forum and still feel safe. That’s why it is so important to support FAC. When you don’t know where else to turn, when you feel isolated, alone and afraid, you can always come here and be part of a growing community.
There is great work being done here that will benefit so many people in the future. I learned patience when I was incarcerated; the day I realized I could not do anything to hasten my release but I certainly could have delayed it, a sense of acceptance came over me. FAC was instrumental in helping me get settled once released and the people here have been so supportive over the years. We have more in common than almost any group of people and it is our obligation to support our community in every way we can.
Being a religious Jewish man I have my own perspective on my journey. But I know that whatever I give out in support of others will always come back to me 10X over. So again, I urge you all to help in whatever way you can. No amount is too small or insignificant. Each small step forward brings us closer to the day we will no longer be pariahs and outcasts.
Have faith, have strength. Together we will be victorious!
Just started my $25 monthly donation to the general fund. My son is a RSO and any amount will help with this cause!
Thank you Big Moe!
Why don’t you make one for me and everyone else that can’t find a job. Since you have so much
Cash and I’m holding up a sign all day to support my kids that i can’t live with or find a job to support them.
I’ll see y’all in Chicago. The only flight that leaves from here is to O’Hara.
Thanks for your encouragement to donate to FAC, whenever and whatever each of us can. I thought I was a sustaining member, but just checked recent bank statements and found I wasn’t. I think it got dropped when I had to open a new account because of a possible breach. But now I’m back at contributing 10 a month. I’ll also give one time donations to causes other than the general fund whenever possible. I hope each of you can help too! And yeah, I’m religious too, but a Catholic. But all religions are based on faith, hope and charity. I do have faith, especially since learning about FAC and reading their ongoing emails. Not only do we have strength in numbers, we have truth, mounds of empirical evidence, and the U.S. Constitution behind us. I just need to end my personal pity party and really get involved as an active member of FAC. I’ll be on the next monthly call, for the first time ever. In my past life I was the VP of Finance overseeing 40 healthcare related corporations. And after that I ran 6 of my own corporations, so I’m certain there’s something I can do to help OUR organization! Thanks to everyone who commented on the passing of Sean. You finally got me motivated!
When I started donating, I could only afford $5.00 a month. Since that time, I have gotten off probation and I am making better money. So I donate $25.00 a month; $5.00 for my membership and the other $20.00 goes into the general fund.
I would challenge anyone who is capable to do the same. Please donate the minimum if you can. We all know how expensive probation is, and how hard it is to get good work with this stigma hanging over our head. But if you are blessed to be able to do more, please do so. Without FAC, life in Florida would be so much worse.
Thank you FAC for everything you do. It’s awesome to have people fighting for our rights when so many are fighting to do away with us.
Check is in the mail. Thanks to everyone for all the hard work.
Done!
What I just put on, it’s not much, but I hope that it can help defray a little of the SMART conference expense. I don’t have the guts to go. Braver people than me are going, in my view, for my benefit. That’s FAC for you.
On many occasions, I have witnessed how capable and extraordinary FAC volunteers are.
If we want to make a donation in memory of Sean what fund do we donate to? Also, what fund to help with NARSOL conference costs?
General fund goes toward general operations, which conference costs are paid from.
Donation made in memory of Sean
I am one of those who can only afford $5/month (for the time being), and some months even that $5 hurts a little.
But I do it…month after month after month.
And, as soon as I can start to afford more, it’ll be more, too!
(I also give to Narsol regularly and help out on the side with an extra $5 here and there for special occasions like the annual meeting in Texas this summer).
Please, everyone, GIVE GIVE GIVE as much as you can (even if only $5 here and there).
It is SO IMPORTANT!!
