we gotta put more money in the ex post facto fund. Cmon guys if a person has money for state fairs,Disney land and all these oversea trips I read on this threads. This fund and Out of state challege fund should be slapped fill with donations.
I not judging anyone for how they spend their money but pleading with each of you.Instead of this trip or that place of travel please think about these words: Unless we help one another with funds for this cases there won’t be any of us left to stand and fight! Some of us can’t put food on our tables muchless go on a trip!!

Not sure about JJJJ’s message, and nobody has to stop spending on whatever they want. It’s just that we have a TON of people contact us every day with travel, housing or other issues, asking for help or guidance and suggesting “you should challenge…”. We have access to our database and know if these people even pay their $5/month member dues and it’s amazing how many don’t!

One way to ensure the sheriff’s popular support and re-election would be for registered sex offenders to storm the NC state fair.

That would be a great opportunity for them to score more arrests and hold a press conference about how they acted swiftly to protect families attending the fair.

FAC normally counsels AGAINST registrants engaging in civil disobedience, and in most cases I would have to agree.

Although I agree with you, some of us cannot find a job due to our registry hit. I have not worked since 2014. I was told I do not qualify for any food stamps or public assistance because I have a 401k, a house and other assets I could sell ? Really. I use the internet at the library because it is free. I would love to donate even a one time amount but I have to let my elderly parents pay my Yearly tax bill so I wont lose my home. I mow a few neighbors yards to pay for groceries ( I have a few decent neighbors ) If I was still working I would shower FAC but funds as I believe you are doing an amazing job but I have over $12,000 in outstanding medical bills that have ruined my credit and now they refuse to treat me other than life threatening emergencies. Luckily my heart medicine is only $5 for a 90 day supply.
So maybe some are being cheapskates but some of us truly love what you do, but just are unable to give. I have even stopped going to church because feel bad when they pass the plate and I do not drop anything in, feel I am being stared at.
I keep hoping my situation will get better but I cannot rely on my parents since they are in their 80s.We have even stopped having Christmas get togethers with extended family because they all expect a fancy gift.
This is why I said if they pass the “Pay to register” act, I am done for. This is how so many on probation fail and I am not even on probation. Can’t get a job, get violated, can’t pay, violated. They keep letting murderers out so they can make more room for Registered folks.
Again I apologize and admit I am one who has not been able to donate. I was actually better off financially while I was on probation as my probation officer had a list of places that hired registered folks. But she doesn’t exist anymore as she was fired for not checking on her offenders often enough and faking logs due to being overworked and understaffed. if it were not for her, I would never have made it through probation.

If you have a qualifying disability you may be eligible for SSDI. SSDI doesn’t factor in net worth as SSI.

            Just a thought.

Yes thank you, have been on an appeal for the last year now. Supposed to have another hearing in April of 2020. I started off going it alone but after 2 denials, decided to hire an attorney. You do not pay unless you win ( Other than any paperwork and files they have to request ). Also since filing I have had two heart attacks so that may help with my case.

Next we will be banned from all public places like grocery stores, malls, etc. Before you laugh at my comment, they take baby steps and each thing they get away with, the ease one more thing in. And they know if we sue, it takes years in the courts unless the first judge that hears it makes a ruling which is then immediately appealed by the state.

I’m sure all these rules and bans will come back to haunt all that make them happen. Either directly or indirectly! These so called “rules” that these so called elected officials that keep adding this “PUNISHMENT” and violating our Human Rights. The only two people that are not physically here”God” himself and “Jesus Christ”, that keeps challenging these “rules” directly through some important people that are physically here, and we know who that is. But only the believers which all of us are by now will prevail sooner or later!!. “AMEN”

My name is James. I’m in central Florida also. I’m new here and also tired of these silly laws and restrictions. I have no restrictions and Im also still suffering because of the stuff they keep adding on us I’ve been going on 11 yrs with no violations and it matters not. I understand a lot claim not to b guilty but I’m truly innocent lol. I’m so sick of the pressures it’s getting to me. Tho if I act out or do something crazy they see it as me being an so not that maybe what I might 9f done is a result of all the pressures they put on us yearly.

I hear you. Truly no person who is actually serious about public safety or protecting children thinks that Registries are intelligent. Smart, informed people are not the people who support Registries. None of them think it is a good idea to take a person who THEY claim is unstable and dangerous, back that person into an ever-shrinking corner, and continually poke that person with sticks. NO ONE with a brain thinks that is a good idea. But Registry Nazis/Supporters do.

And it is okay to “act out” as long as it does not involve $EX. Because $EX is the only thing that matters. These criminal regimes can’t even be bothered to Register people who only commit violent crimes, like those that end up putting people in wheelchairs for life. So just don’t “act out” regarding $EX, everything else is fine.

Yes and there was a story on the local news recently from Disney stating they are revoking annual passes when they discover the person is a registered sex offender. I was going to renew mine until I saw that. They did not state if those affected would get refunds.

They use an outside company to check pass holders against the registries. When trying to enter the park with my family,
I was trespassed from all Disney properties. I was not notified in advance, and there was no publicly disclosed policy at the time regarding registered individuals. This was about 5 years ago.
