NC Sheriff Bans Registrants from Church

Below is a copy of the letter circulated by Sheriff Danny Millsaps of Graham County, North Carolina.

He’s allowing registrants who want to attend Church Services to do so on Sundays in the Jail.

    I am surprised Florida has not already done this. I see a trend here. The only place sex offenders can go in a natural disaster for shelter is a jail. The only place for homeless sex offenders is a jail. Now, the only way to attend church is in a jail. The “final solution” of all states is lifetime incarceration of all sex offenders.

        It’s not. The section that good sheriff refers to only applies to certain sex offenses: NC GS-14-208.18 (c). Addressing the letter “To all sex offenders” goes beyond the bounds of the statute.
